NUMPILOT
Last updated: July 14, 2026
NumPilot is built to keep your work on your device. This page explains what leaves it, and why.
Every simulation is computed by a solver that runs entirely on your iPhone or iPad. Your geometries, parameters, and results are not uploaded to run the physics.
When you use “Describe an analysis,” the text of your prompt is sent through our backend proxy to an AI model provider to set up the problem. The proxy exists so that no API keys live on your device; requests are rate-limited per device. Prompts are used to compose your model and improve the composing experience — they are not sold or used for advertising.
Sharing is opt-in. A share link encodes only the model recipe (template name, parameters, and the optional title/prompt you chose to include). If you publish to the community board, that recipe is stored via Apple CloudKit and is visible to other users. Nothing is published unless you tap publish.
Subscriptions (NumPilot Pro) are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details.
